THANKYOU

I would like to congratulate the team for another outstanding performance in defence of the Gibb Trophy. This now brings Northern Counties victories to 14 since 1980. The players were very supportive of each other, and throughout the weekend, had a terrific spirit and it was a pleasure to be the captian of Northern Counties Team.

Further, I would like to thank all the caddies and supporters who so willingly gave of their time. It was much appreciated. I would make special mention of Susan Mackenzie who seemed tireless throughout and was the mistress of all trades.

To Elgin golf Club and all the staff for so generously affording their facilities and course for the weekend - thank you on behalf of us all.

Some of you may have noticed the team had new sweaters and these were very generously donated by Johnstons of Elgin, and a big thank you also goes to them.

Your Northern Counties Squad shall shortly be getting into County Final mode for their trip to Ranfurly Castle 16th - 18th September where they shall be defending the Scottish County Trophy.
