County Records

I am delighted to report the Course Record at Inverness Golf Club, set by Elaine Cuthill, was equalled by our very own Kerri Harper . Her card read as follows -
3,3,5,4,4,4,4,3,3, 33 4,4,4,3,4,3,5,4,4, 35 68
Well done to Kerri
Not to be outdone, the Doyenne of Caithness set the Course Record at Bonar Bridge/Ardgay on 25 August, so well done Vice-Captain Manson.

County Open & AGM at Nairn Dunbar on 7 October

We would like to point out that the CLOSING DATE is 21 SEPTEMBER. Please advise the members that it would be courteous to note this and get their entries in by then. It has come to our attention that more frequently than is necessary members are not complying with this policy and forget that Delegates are giving of their valuable time to assist the County.

The Agenda for AGM will be sent to you on Friday 31 August and we would request you read the accompanying letter and place all documents in the usual prominent place - The County Notice Board.

Boat of Garten

On Sunday 26 August, we were priviledged to be hosted at 'The Boat'. Joan Cairns, the Lady Captain and Northern Counties Delegate was run ragged with the many changes made to the draw, and many thanks to Joan and her helpers.
Reference adventures - there were a few at Boat of Garten - namely Gillian Dowling had a hole in one at 3rd hole - well done Gillian - it is the first Hole in One at a County Event for many a year.
Moira Gordon, who won at Portmahomack had to be transported off the course and has spent the last few days in Raigmore. News is she will be home soon and assures us she is completely 'off' bacon rolls.

Open at Portmahomack/Tarbat Golf Club

We again made a little bit of County history by being hosted at 'The Port'. It was the first County event to be played there and all those who played had a wonderful time and many an adventure. Moira Gordon won the Cathy Ross Salver and congratulations go to her. Many thanks to the Delegate, Morag Cairney, and the members for making us so welcome.
